Turner Kirk Centre for Spatial Reasoning launch featured in the news

The Turner Kirk Centre for Spatial Reasoning has been launched by the University of Glasgow with support from the Turner Kirk Trust and the Scottish Government. The large-scale, experimental project will collaborate with educators, schools and local authorities to bring innovative spatial maths teaching to hundreds of primary schools across Scotland.

With the backing of 17 Scottish local authorities, the Centre aims to reach 40% of primary classrooms by 2028. The pilot will introduce a light-touch, low-cost method of teaching that enhances pupils’ spatial reasoning – the ability to understand how things relate to each other in space.

News of the launch has been reported in a series of leading publications across the UK.
