He says that in a world of rapid advancements in technology and science it is critical that the senior management in all businesses is equipped with the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) knowledge and experience to understand the impact and potential of the technology and science their companies are powered by.

Businesses are essential in building more prosperous societies, and they so often find solutions to some of the world's greatest problems. If they are to thrive, they must be equipped to understand current technologies and effectively scan the horizon for new advancements in this area. It is therefore their responsibility to recruit STEM experts, the people with the expertise to do this, into their senior ranks.
